High school classes are available to students who are enrolled in grades 9 to 12 in their day schools as well as to adults. Classes take place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at École Élémentaire Catholique Sainte-Geneviève (2198 Arch Street).
We offer classes at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced level.
The advanced classes are geared towards students that have completed our elementary school program or have extensive previous knowledge of German.
The beginners’ classes are geared towards students that are just starting to learn German. These classes are also open to adults.
Students in both levels can register to receive a high school credit for the completion of the course. Credits are recognized by all Ontario school boards.
Please note that in order to complete the credit the student cannot be absent more than three times during the school year.
Classes start in September and run until June.

The German Language School Ottawa asks you to make a voluntary contribution to help us bring the best possible program to our students.
You will receive a tax receipt that can be used for the arts program credit.
100% of your contribution is invested into the school. We use it to pay for additional teachers (to keep class sizes small), teaching assistants, organize school events, buy equipment for the teachers to use, and to keep our school library up to date.
Suggested contributions are $140 for the first child, $100 for the second child, and $70 for all other children.
